Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars, Inc has full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineering EIT for our Austin Office. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Produce design and construction drawings using information from supervisor, research data, and input from consultants

- Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of combined experience in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary and topographic surveying. - Independently performs surveying assignments, making exact measurements, and providing data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimension of land or land features
- Operates and maintains all instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors
- Knowledge of Trimble Field Equipment and data collector software
- Download and upload survey data to data collectors and office computers

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 20+ years of legal experience including litigating complex matters for the architecture, engineering or construction industry within a law firm, or management of claims and litigation in an in-house legal department, or professional liability insurer with preference given to candidates with a blend of experience.
- Familiarity with various legal documents.
- Expert knowledge of a range of Corporate law.
- Significant involvement and skill in (i) drafting and editing legal memoranda and correspondence, (ii) briefs, (iii) legal research, (iii) cost and schedule analysis, and (iv) organizing and analyzing documentary records.
- Proven experience in managing outside counsel in a cost-effective manner.

Job Summary: The Deltek Application Support Specialist will join a team to help maintain the effective use of the Deltek Vantagepoint ERP as it applies to project planning & management, resource management, accounting, marketing, business development, human resources, IT, and other user groups or departments. Vice President - Licensed Architect (Science & Technology)
Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Vice President – Licensed Architect (Science & Technology) at our National Capital Region office (Alexandria, VA). In this role, you will be a part of education and healthcare projects. The successful candidate will need to be a Licensed Architect with 12+ years of professional experience in architecture design with an emphasis in education and healthcare markets. They will have very good communication and leadership skills, and the ability to ensure exceptional project delivery for clients.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as primary contact for the client and be responsible for overall project management
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity
- Supervise project team cooperatively with the project designer
- Coordinate workload within project teams and work with other project directors to manage workload across the office
- Ensure project design development, documentation stay on schedule and meet the budget.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Review work and propose changes to design, and to comply with building codes
- Prepare plan of action to resolve project issues
- Maintain project budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines
- Mentor project team and foster positive team spirit that supports everyone’s efforts to succeed
- Ensure staff adheres to HZ’s policies, practices and procedures
- Monitor internal staffing needs and coordinate client staff and their internal customers, architects, engineers, contractors and vendors
- Write proposals, recommend appropriate fees, and participate in contract negotiations with clients and consultants
- Manage bid or contractor selection process
- Actively pursue new business opportunities by utilizing their network
- Assist market sector teams in preparing proposals, calling on new and prospective clients, and participating in new project presentations as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or closely related field.
- Must be Registered Architect.
- 12+ years related experience in architectural design with the tasks identified above.
- A minimum 8+ years project management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledgeable to direct staff in effective use of Revit including coordinated 3D BIM modeling of component systems, AutoCAD for 2D designs, and software for rendering and imagery of concepts and designs
- Must have experience on large-scale projects.
- Must be able to lead a team on projects and make client presentations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the local and regional education and healthcare market.
- Proven business development and client interaction experience.
- Strong team leadership, mentoring, motivational/organizational and people skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Physical Requirements:
