    Huitt-Zollars’ Los Angeles office has a full-time Sr. Architect Healthcare Project Manager opportunity for an Architect with OSHPD experience to work at our Healthcare Studio. This role will be responsible for the overall management of a single or a few assigned projects. They will provide general supervision of staff to prepare and review design and construction documents for project while ensuring specifications are met. The successful candidate will utilize their OSHPD experience and knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning, building codes and building materials to deliver quality healthcare facility projects.

    • Plan and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
    • Coordinates workload with project team through project development to complete documents on schedule and within budget.
    • Act as primary contact for client providing updates from development through project completion.
    • Ensure compliance of contract terms and conditions.
    • Reviews work and propose changes in regards to design, code and budget.
    • Maintains project budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines.
    • Prepares plan of action to resolve project issues.
    • Mentors support team and foster a positive team work environment.
    • Monitor internal staffing needs and coordinates client staff and their internal customers, architects, engineers, contractors and vendors.
    • Write proposals, recommend appropriate fees, and participate in contract negotiations with clients and consultants.
    • Actively pursue new business opportunities by utilizing their network.
    • Display professionalism that encourages clients and consultants to award and/or refer new opportunities to the firm.
    • Assist the studio director, associate studio director and associate director of marketing in preparing proposals, calling on new and prospective clients, and participating in new project presentations as requested.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program
    • California licensed Architect with OSHPD experience
    • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in healthcare projects and is a subject matter expert.
    • Ability to produce project schedules in Microsoft Project
    • Revit Architecture 2015-2018 with minimum 2 years project experience
    • Excellent organizational, verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Newforma Project Management experience is a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Advanced knowledge of building design and construction means, methods and techniques
    • LEED Accredited is a plus
