    Huitt-Zollars' Dallas, Texas office has a dynamic career opportunity for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to deliver superb transportation projects in Texas. This full time role manages transportation highway and roadway design including preliminary engineering work on new and existing roadways and working through the environmental process.  Candidate should have previous transportation highway and roadway consulting experience and will assist in providing strategic direction, financial performance, business and client development and project management.

    • Manage TxDOT transportation preliminary engineering and final design on highway and roadway projects throughout Texas.
    • Conduct business development for transportation projects and cultivate client relationships while   identifying growth opportunities, promoting the firm's capabilities, and marketing its services among prospective clients
    • Interface with all transportation stakeholders including municipal clients, cities, utility districts, and selected state and federal agencies.
    • Conduct meetings with TxDOT, Toll road Authorities for business development purposes
    • Lead and mange preliminary engineering, environmental and design of transportation projects
    • Develop, oversee, and monitor project activities including scope, budget, and schedule management.
    • Manage design team’s performance on assigned projects.
    • Work in all projects phases from programming through project closeout
    • Review and distribute work and resources among staff for efficient project completion


    • Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
    • Minimum 7 years of transportation roadway and highway project management experience
    • Texas PE or ability to be licensed in Texas within 6 months of hire
    • TxDOT environmental and/or planning pre-certifications preferred (3.2.1, 4.2.1, 4.4.1, 4.5.1)
    • Successful Business development experience
    • Proficient in MicroStation and ProjectWise preferred
    • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
    • Project Management Professional certification is a plus
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling and financial tools
