    Huitt-Zollars, Inc (formerly Hoskin Ryan Consultants) has an excellent Civil Engineer career opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time role works collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering design for multiple land development and drainage projects in the Phoenix area. The successful candidate will be an Arizona registered PE with 5-7 years’ experience in grading, drainage and paving design projects.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to share their expertise and work collaboratively with a team of award winning engineers.

     Requirements:

    • Produce design plans of storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water for various land development projects.
    • Perform analysis of water and sewer systems.
    • Plan production will include preparations of plan and profiles of streets and various other underground utilities common to land development.
    • Produce specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination.
    • Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from project lead, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.
    • Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings.
    • Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings.
    • Plan preparation and budget management of water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage plans.
    • Prepare project proposals, and interface and coordinate with clients.

    Requirements:

    • B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
    • Minimum 5 years of design experience with underground utilities, paving, grading and utilities
    • PE Arizona State License and registration
    • Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • ArcGIS, MicroStation and other engineering design software proficiency is a plus
    • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques
    • Knowledge of local, county and state agency submittal process
    • Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
    • Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
