    Huitt-Zollars' Albuquerque, NM office has an excellent full-time Architect I opportunity.  This role has room for professional growth and career advancement.   The successful candidate will collaborate with an experienced team of architects on multiple projects, and should be a licensed architect in the state of New Mexico (or state with reciprocity) or close to being registered.

    Responsibilities:

    • Creates BIM models, prepares design and construction drawings with information provided by a supervisor or data obtained from research.
    • Researches materials and assemblies for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by the project manager.
    • Integrates information from consultants and suppliers into models and drawings.
    • Prepares presentation renderings an illustrations for client and/or public presentations and in-office collaboration.
    • Processes contractor submittals by logging in the submittals and routing them to the appropriate party for review.
    • Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence if needed.

     Requirements:

    • Masters in Architecture or equivalent from a NAAB accredited program
    • Professional Architectural license - Registered New Mexico Architect preferred or close to being registered
    • 3-5 years of architectural design and construction documentation or production experience
    • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp or other 3D modeling software
    • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to prepare architectural documents and specifications for projects
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to read redlines and modify BIM models or drawings
    • Solid written communication clearly conveying technical issues and design ideas
    • Good verbal communication and ability to present in public or client meetings
    • Knowledge of building design, construction means, methods and techniques
    • Knowledge of architectural history and current architectural design discourse
    • Awareness of sustainable design approaches
