    Huitt-Zollars’ Fort Worth, TX office has a Sr. Federal Design Project Manager opportunity. This dynamic full-time role provides leadership and manages vertical building design projects for a diverse federal client base. The successful candidate will be a Registered PE or Architect with at least 15 years’ experience delivering vertical building design and project management at a multi-disciplined architecture-engineering firm.

     Responsibilities:

    •  Manage and deliver high quality design-build federal projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, DHS and AFCEC) in a timely fashion and within budget.
    • Lead multiple project teams on design and development and foster multi-disciplinary team coordination.
    • Monitor the status and quality of design-related project deliverables and developing project documents at all stages of design, and engage in construction administration activities.
    • Ensure each design project complies with company quality standards and client specifications.
    • Oversee and contribute to the preparation of design documentation
    • Coordinate all work of Project Architects, Engineers, Design Engineers and CAD Technicians from the initial planning stages through final construction
    • Representation at project meetings, attendance at pre-construction, pre-fabrication and construction meetings

     Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
    • Texas PE registration or registered Architect
    • Minimum 15 years’ experience primarily in vertical building design
    • Minimum 5 years’ design project management experience at a multi-disciplined architecture-engineering firm
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
    • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple design projects with varying deadlines
    • Proficient in Revit, Adapt, RAM, RISA, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
    • Proficient in Federal client database software Dr Checks, RMS, and BUILDER is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good presentation skills
