Overview

Huitt-Zollars’ Tacoma, WA office has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Survey Technician.  This land survey technician role supports the survey manager, field crews and engineers in large commercial construction projects. Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience and proficieny in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support survey manager, field crews and engineers in land surveying
  • Draft topographic surveys, subdivision and exhibit maps from data downloads and field books
  • Calculate boundaries and field staking
  • Provide calculations and information to field crews as needed
  • Provide survey cut sheets and stake-out sheets for field crews
  • Answer contractor questions regarding survey worked performed

 Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience drafting surveys
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of survey field procedures
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • LSIT required and PLS preferred
