Overview

Huitt-Zollars’ Fort Worth office has a great full-time career opportunity for a Structural Graduate EIT with BS or MS/ME or progress toward MS/ME with emphasis in structural engineering. Level of experience can range from recent graduate to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work collaborative in an architecture and civil engineering environment under the supervision of registered structural engineers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems for buildings, bridges, retaining walls, flood walls, flood control channels, concrete hydraulic structures and associated structural features
  • Construction administration activities, and evaluation and analysis of existing structural elements
  • Concrete foundation analysis and design
  • Utilize construction materials such as structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, light gage steel and wood 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering, EIT Certification
  • PE favorable but not required
  • Recent grad to 5 years’ experience in structural engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred
  • Experience with structural engineering analysis and design software
  • Preliminary design capability with reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, masonry and steel for building and bridge structures
  • Familiarity and/or experience with ASCE 7 loads development including dead, live, snow, wind and seismic loads is a plus
